Sometimes when we struggle, we tell ourselves "stories" about ourselves.
These shame-based stories move us away from openness and curiosity and into judgement, which is not where we want to be if we're trying to solve problems.
Judgmental thoughts and stories are rigid and rarely look at the whole picture. This keeps us from finding real solutions that work for our brains!
In this episode, I talk about how my client's old stories impacted her, how she challenged those stories, and how we were then able to work on other areas like executive functioning skills and managing overwhelm to help her get caught up in school after she got behind.
