Coaching Agreement

Thank you for this opportunity. I’m honored to be your coach and look forward to working with you! Coaching is a co-creative process, which means we both play an active role. This agreement outlines what we can expect from each other, our roles in the process, and my current practice policies.

Your Part

Before Our Sessions
Each week, please bring something that feels important to you: a topic you’d like to explore and what you hope to take away from our session. Don’t worry about choosing the “wrong” thing! Most topics we explore will be interconnected, so you'll often end up working on more than one thing as we problem solve and build the support you need. There are many paths to meaningful change.
Start Time
Please do what you can to be on time for our sessions. Your session time is reserved just for you, so I don't multitask or start other projects during your reserved times. I'm also not able to guarantee extra time if our session begins late since I have commitments to other clients during my day.
Call Frequency + Length
In the beginning, it's best to meet weekly so we can build traction. After we've established a foundation, we can keep that frequency or change it depending on your needs. Call sessions typically last around 50 minutes.
Feedback
Your honest feedback helps me tailor coaching to your needs. Please tell me what is working and what is not. I’m more interested in helping you find your answers than in being “right.”

My Part

Our Sessions
I will listen closely, ask questions, and offer objective, nonjudgmental feedback. Most weeks we'll use some of our time to create concrete steps you can take during the week to help you move toward your goals. If you aren't sure what you would like those to be, I can help by suggesting ideas. If a suggestion doesn’t feel like the right fit, I encourage you to say so and offer an alternative.
Accountability
Part of my role is to offer accountability in a way that feels helpful to you, not overwhelming. That looks different for different people and I invite you to communicate your preferences. Ideas for what this could look like: using the chat room in your private client vault, sending updates or check ins by text or email, or exploring courses/ resources available through your membership space.
Confidentiality
I will honor your confidentiality and keep what we discuss private unless you request/consent that I share information with someone else.

Scope
I am not a psychotherapist and do not provide medical or psychological interventions. Although I am trained as both an occupational therapist and a professional coach, the services I provide through Clarity Coaching are exclusively in the role of a coach and are not therapeutic in nature. If you need services outside my scope, I will refer you to an appropriate professional.

Payment

Month-to-Month Plan
Fees for the monthly plan are charged as a retainer at the beginning of your cycle. Your plan will auto-renew monthly on the date of your initial payment. Rates are subject to change and you will be notified in advance of any changes.
Session Packages
Prepaid packages are paid in full before the first session. Payment plans can be arranged if needed. Current packages and fees are listed on my website.

Unused Calls
If you have purchased more calls than you need, refunds for your unused calls are possible. Please note that rates may be adjusted if your initial payment qualified for a package discount and that a 3% credit card fee will be applied to the refunded amount..

Coaching Calls

Format
Coaching calls can be held by audio or video, based on your preference. For audio calls, I can be reached at 770-744-7561 at our scheduled time. For video calls, we'll use the Zoom platform and the same link each week. I recommend saving out call appointment with the link in your calendar on repeat so it's easy to find.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Please prioritize our calls and arrange your schedule to honor our time whenever possible. If you need to reschedule, I appreciate you letting me know as soon as possible. No call/no shows and appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the regular session rate and will not be rescheduled.

How to Get the Most Out of Coaching

  • Come prepared with an idea of what you want to take away from the session.
  • Stay curious with yourself. That curiosity is key in understanding what you want, what's getting in your way, and how to move forward.
  • Commit to self-compassion. It's ok if this isn't easy or natural at first, I can help with that. It's not just about kindness, self-criticism prevents problem-solving.
  • Use the accountability options that feel most supportive to you. Feel free to update me if you want to try different ones.
  • Be open-minded. Try new approaches and allow yourself to experiment and make mistakes.
  • Be willing to explore beliefs and patterns that may no longer serve you.
  • Offer honest feedback throughout our coaching relationship about how things are going and what you need.
Agreement
By moving forward in the onboarding process, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this coaching agreement and agree to the expectations, policies, and roles outlined above.
